But this whole SOPA/PIPA deal has me all up in arms.

So here’s the scoop, as I know it, in bullet points:

• The “goal” is to put an end to pirating media via the Internet.
• If passed, the government will be given censorship over everything on the WWW, and will be able to pull any domain (webaddress.com) without any due process or notification.
• This means if you have a blog, and someone comments on your blog with a link to a picture of Oprah Winfrey, or to a PNG of the WalMart logo, the government has the right to shut your blog down.
• The general consensus is that this will do very little to cut down on “pirating”.
• Below is a link to a popular opinion on the true reasoning behind this whole hullabaloo; I’m inclined to subscribe to this opinion:
